Istari Digital Web app — User Guide
This guide walks you through every major feature of the Istari platform accessible from the web app, organized by concept. Each section explains what you can do and exactly how to do it in the user interface.
Navigation Overview
After signing in, the sidebar on the left provides primary navigation:

Below the main icons, the sidebar footer includes:
- Admin (shield icon) — organization administration at
/admin(organization administrators only) - Documentation — opens external documentation in a new tab
- Avatar menu — profile, password, application, developer settings, and log out
User Menu
Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open:
- Profile — edit your name
- Password — update your password
- Application — font size, theme, and experimental features
- Developer — personal access tokens and registry URL
- Log out — sign out of the platform

- Systems and Snapshots — create, configure, and manage systems
- Files and Content — upload, preview, version, and manage files
- Jobs and Automation — run functions, extract artifacts, monitor jobs
- Sharing and Access Control — share resources, manage roles, infosec levels, control tags
- Secure Connections — share files with partner organizations through Sending Connections
- Lineage — trace parent/child relationships between resources in a system as a visual graph
- Settings — profile, password, application preferences, developer tokens
- Istari AI Chat — opt-in floating assistant for asking questions about resources, models, and the platform
- Notifications — toast alerts and the notifications inbox
- 3D Visual Diff — compare two versions of a 3D model with colorized geometry changes

Tips
- Copy system link or ID: On a system detail page, click the ⋯ menu and select Copy system link or Copy system ID.
- Navigate with breadcrumbs: Breadcrumbs at the top of detail pages let you jump back to parent pages.
- Resizable panels: On the system and files detail pages, drag the divider between panels to resize them. Click the panel collapse icon (or press Cmd+[) to collapse or expand the left panel.
- Pagination: File lists and job tables support pagination — use the controls at the bottom to navigate between pages and adjust page size.
