Integrations

The Istari Digital Platform integrates with engineering tools (CAD, simulation, MBSE, office productivity) and third-party data sources to extract data, run functions, and automate workflows — all within your infrastructure.

An integration is how a DE tool connects to the platform: an agent registered to the control plane, with one or more modules on that agent. Install covers the first agents (each OS guide ends with an Open Text job); Connect covers additional modules and ingest. How-to: Install Agents and Module deployment. Concepts: Integrations, jobs, and agents. To build your own module, follow the Integration tutorials.

What is in this section

Each tool integration page is a reference for a specific tool. It covers:

  • Supported functions — what you can do (extraction, parameter updates, simulation runs, etc.) with the full list of function keys.
  • Inputs and outputs — accepted file types, connection methods, and the artifacts each function produces.
  • Prerequisites — required software versions, licences, and agent configuration.
  • SDK and UI usage — how to run each function from the Platform UI or programmatically with the Python SDK, including example code.

Third-Party App Integrations

Third-party app integrations let you connect to external applications — services like Google Drive, Microsoft 365, PTC Windchill, or Dassault Teamwork Cloud — so the platform can reference files that remain in those services and run authenticated jobs against them. An administrator connects each application once; see App Integrations in the Administrator Guide for setup, including Teamwork Cloud with OIDC, Google Workspace, and a Windchill service account. See also Third-party data source in the terminology.
