Manage a System

Create a System, edit its details, share it, download it, archive it, or change its settings. What the System contains (Resources, folders, and Subsystems) is edited in the Directory.

System actions are in the More options (⋯) menu, labeled System Options. You can open it from three places:

  • A System on the System Dashboard
  • The header of the System's home page
  • The Directory tree header

Create a System

  1. On the System Dashboard, click New System.
  2. In the Create system dialog:
    • Enter a Name (defaults to "Untitled system").
    • Enter a Description (required).
    • Choose Classifications when information security levels are enabled.
  3. Click Create. The new System's home page opens.

Edit the name, description, or classification

  1. Open the ⋯ menu and select Edit System Details.
  2. Update the Name, Description, or Classifications.
  3. Click Update.

Required role: Editor or above. Changing classification requires Administrator or Owner.

  • ⋯ menu > Copy System Link copies a link to the System.
  • On the System's home page, click the ID next to the System name to copy the System ID.

Share a System

Select Share System from the ⋯ menu, or manage members in Settings > Members. See Share a System.

Download a System

  1. Open the ⋯ menu and select Download System.
  2. In Download system, optionally check Include subsystems to add each tracked Subsystem under its own folder.
  3. Click Download. A ZIP that keeps the folder structure downloads in the background.

The download contains the branch's committed state. It is unavailable while you are editing. To download only some files, see Directory.

note

Downloads of large files or archives may be blocked by your deployment's download limits. Contact your IT administrator if you have questions about these limits.

Archive or unarchive a System

Archive

  2. Click Archive to confirm.

Unarchive
