Terminology

There are some terms-of-art that are useful to know:

• Model: this is any file that’s uploaded to Istari Digital
• Derived Artifacts: Some models (but not all) can be decomposed (a CAD file can be decomposed into a set of simple .jpg images), and the decomposed images are called Derived Artifacts since they are derived from another file
• Artifacts: this is a file that’s uploaded to Istari Digital that cannot be decomposed further, for example, a .jpg image file
