Creating New Users

Users can be created via the Istari Digital platform, in the Admin Users menu. However, new user creation on the platform requires email verification (via Zitadel) to activate the account. If email notification (SMTP) is not configured in Zitadel, then new Istari Digital users have to be created in Zitadel.


Prerequisites

You must be an Org Owner in the Istari Zitadel organization to create users.


Create a User

  1. Navigate to the Zitadel console.
    Log in to your Zitadel instance and select the Istari organization in Zitadel.

  2. Open the Users section.
    Click on Users in the navigation header.

  3. Add a new user.

    • Click the + New button.
    • Enter the user's details: email address, first name, last name, and username.
    • Check Email Verified.
    • Check Set Initial Password. and create a temporary password
      • User will be prompted to create a new password after authenticating with this temporary one.
  4. Create the user.
    Click Create to add the user to the Istari.

  5. Provide information to new user. Use a secure method to provide the username and temporary password to the user.
